Adding Broccoli to Salad – For Broccoli Haters
Toss Broccoli (you can add stems and all!) into a food processor, and pulse a few times.
Can be added to anything that you’d like to add a healthy/crunchy veggie to, but don’t want the strong taste, or large pieces. Example: Salads, Stir Fry, Rice… etc.
This idea was inspired by a recent trip to Souplantation. They had Broccoli stems sliced into very small pieces at the Salad Bar, being promoted as a healthy salad topper and added crunch.
I personally dislike Broccoli, in pretty much ALL it’s forms- but processing the vegetable into very small pieces reduces the overbearing taste. You can add quite a bit to your salad without the strong taste, definitely an easy way to incorporate a filling and nutritious veggie to your Salad!
