2 Ingredient Flat Bread – The easiest thing you’ll ever make – You’re going to wish I had posted this sooner. (Vegan & Gluten Free)
No seriously, this is so easy it hurts. And I’m kinda pissed no one bonked me on the head with a package of Chickpea Flour, and said “Hey this shit is great! Try it!” By Mixing Equal Parts Flour & Water you can make super light fluffy little flat breads on your stove top by just using a non-stick pan. Double Bonus? It is super good for you. And though I have yet to try it, I hear that if you water down your batter a bit more and thinly spread it, you can make an equally delicious wrap.
Regular Bread is full of ingredients you don’t want and definitely don’t need. It doesn’t have substantial protein or nutrients and acts more as a vessel than anything else. Don’t fall into the trap of “Whole Wheat” “5-Grain” “Buzz-word” shenanigans that bread companies throw at you. You can get plenty of grain nutrients from much more reliable, non processed, and healthy sources.
- Garbanzo Bean Flour
- Combine Equal Parts Garbanzo Bean Flour and Water and mix Well. If your batter clumps feel free to blend it.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat and dollop your batter on the pan, making is as large as you’d like your flatbread. Let it sit for about 2 – 3 minutes or until edges start to rise off the pan and you can easily flip it. TIP: If you don’t have a good non-stick skillet, use a tiny bit of oil!
- Finish until Golden Brown, about 2 more minutes.
In this picture, you’ll see the flatbread topped with a Roasted Beet Radicchio Salad (recipe coming soon). You can literally top it with anything, or dip it into anything.
If you want to enjoy it plain, you can also spice it up any which way you like! Try adding Italian Spices and Making a Pizza! Or Indian Spices and using it as Naan like I did here The possibilities are seriously endless, and I’m kind of dying just waiting to try them.
